• Event data: Events you create, attend, or express interest in.
• Buy Nothing data: Items you list, raffle entries, and related interactions.
• Communications: Messages you send to other users through the App.

When you use the App, we may automatically collect:

• Device information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers.
• Usage data: Features used, interactions, time spent, and navigation patterns.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from third-party services you use to sign in, such as Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, including your name and email address as permitted by your settings.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.

• Facilitate events, housing listings, and the Buy Nothing raffle system.
• Send notifications related to your account, events, messages, and community activity.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• With other users: Your profile information, posts, event attendance, and Buy Nothing listings are visible to other Ciorcal users as part of the community experience.
• Service providers: We use third-party services (such as Firebase by Google) for authentication, data storage, analytics, and push notifications. These providers only access your data as necessary to perform their functions.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.
• Safety: We may share information if we believe it is necessary to protect the safety of our users or the public.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Firebase (Google Cloud) infrastructure with industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. While we implement reasonable safeguards, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
